Printable Christmas Wrapping Paper: Instant Gift Wrap
You wanna know a secret? Up until a few weeks ago, I didn’t even consider the idea of creating your own printable Christmas wrapping paper from home. But really, why not? If you have a printer and are wrapping medium or small gifts it’s totally doable. Think of the pretty prints you could enjoy! In fact, I hopped over to one of my favorite graphic sources at Creative Market and really started brainstorming with some fun Christmas prints.Â
Today’s freebie is this beautiful wintery color combo printable gift wrap called Icing on the Christmas Cake, created by my new friend Jay over at Wisdom in a Jar.
Printable Christmas wrapping paper can really make your gift-giving a lot easier, especially if you are in a pinch, have run out of traditional paper, or want to wrap your gifts with a custom, unique touch.
You can download all these prints at the bottom!
How to Make your printable gift wrap
I am seriously crushing on the color scheme! Who else? Just think of how lovely they would look under a colorful Christmas tree!
After spotting another printable gift wrap design, I knew this freebie would be something my readers would appreciate.Â
Using the printable gift wrap is really simple. You can print it out on any home printer using text-weight paper. I even tried it by using some shimmery paper from Hobby Lobby, and it looked gorgeous! Be sure to check out your craft store for some additional paper printing options too.Â
Don’t have a home printer?Â
No home printer? Don’t worry. You can always print at your local print store. This can also be beneficial if you want to enlarge the prints to ledger size so you have more to work with when wrapping.Â
Layering the wrapping together to create different looks is one of the reasons I love this idea. In addition to the printable Christmas wrapping paper, complimentary gift tags are included with this freebie!
All these files are saved as PDF printables. I also have to save just the tags as PNG images, which can be uploaded to a Cricut machine using the print-and-cut technique. If you are unfamiliar with the basics of print and cut read my post on Introduction to Cricut Design Space Interface.Â
Once you have printed your paper, layer a couple together by overlapping. Then just wrap your gift box as usual!
As I mentioned at the start of the post, this lovely paper was designed by Jay from Wisdom in a Jar. If you are on the hunt for some Christmas gifts, her shop has some wonderful options that I guarantee you can’t find in a department store! Her top-selling item is her wisdom jars printables. Whether you are looking for your wife, husband, Mother, or child, Wisdom in a Jar has you covered!Â
This craft is quite brilliant and is a wonderful gift for someone who seems to have everything! That someone, for me, is my husband. I mean, the guy asks for nothing! Plus, you can totally wrap it with your free printable paper.Â
Before shopping at Wisdom in a Jar be sure to download the wrapping paper because there is a coupon inside! And check out all our other Christmas printables here!
