Craft Paper Storage: 9 Genius Ways to Store Your Craft Paper

When it comes to craft storage, you need to be organized about everything. Crafty people like us by nature tend to be messy when we are in the creative zone. To help combat that, having a craft storage system helps eliminate clutter. Paper crafting is a big part of what I often create and share here on the blog, therefore I am always looking for the best craft paper storage ideas. I have several paper organization solutions for you today whether you have a small amount or way too much paper like me!

I love to use magazine holders for pretty much everything except magazines because they are the perfect paper organizer! In fact, they work amazingly well for craft paper storage. I love to buy several and stack them along roller carts like these to really stay organized!

There are lots of easy homemade options to store paper as well. Like wrapping or backdrop paper photo paper that can be hung on the wall to save space and keep the paper in good shape!

So often I find the best ways to store craft supplies and paper comes from things that were not designed to be used for them! I love this brilliant idea to use shoe organizers as vertical paper storage instead!

Cardstock storage cubes

If you don’t use paper as often as I do and are looking for a smaller craft paper storage container, opt for some simple organizational cubes. Likewise, you can stack these if you have a ton of cardstock paper like me!

If you are looking to utilize vertical storage try stacking these cubes on top of each other makes for easy access while working on your creative projects plus visually appealing storage.

Free-standing file containers like you might see in a school room or office can be the craft paper perfect storage solution. These clear file holders are a great way to store a smaller paper craft stash neatly on a shelf or desk. Surprisingly these hold a lot of paper!

So what about those pesky paper scraps?! I have a bad habit of throwing out scraps that can be used for future projects. I decided I needed a better solution for my scraps so I could stop wasting so much paper and reduce the number of paper packs I am always buying. Anyone else?

    Thank you for posting your craft room overhaul. It’s definitely inspired me to do something with my little corner. Discarding items for hobbies I no longer do is probably the hardest thing I will have to do.

    Hi Abby. One of the things I learned with scraps of paper was to cut them down evenly into 8″, 6″, 4″ and 3″ squares or rectangles, as these are most likely to be used on cards as background pieces. You can still use them to make small items, such as your snowman nose, without being overwhelmed with small bits of scrap.
