About Abbi Kirsten Collections

Abbi Kirsten Collections is a creative education company dedicated to helping people create with confidence. While many people know us for Cricut projects, paper flowers, and digital crafting, our vision extends far beyond any one craft or product.

Our mission is simple: To build a worldwide community of makers where creative expression is the thread that connects us all together.

Through digital products, memberships, workshops, virtual events, and educational experiences, we’ve built a thriving community of hundreds of thousands of creators across the globe. We currently have more than one million followers across our platforms and continue to grow each year.

We believe creativity has the power to build confidence, expand joy, strengthen community, and even create financial freedom.

The Role

We’re looking for a Director of Marketing Operations to become the Founder’s strategic right-hand and help lead Abbi Kirsten Collections into its next stage of growth.

This is first and foremost a strategic marketing and growth leadership role. We’re looking for someone with a strong marketing foundation who can evaluate the business, identify growth opportunities, shape marketing strategy, and translate the Founder’s vision into clear priorities for the team.

You’ll partner directly with the Founder to strengthen how the company attracts, converts, and retains customers while helping transform a founder-led business into a leadership-led organization.

This role also requires a strong operational mindset, but you won’t be expected to personally own every project, process, and operational detail long-term. Instead, you’ll help determine the team, systems, and infrastructure needed to execute the company’s strategy effectively and build the appropriate support beneath you as the business grows.

During the first six months, this role will intentionally be more hands-on as you learn the business, strengthen existing marketing systems, and identify where additional team support is needed. Over time, the expectation is that your role increasingly shifts toward strategy, growth, leadership, and decision-making as you build the team and infrastructure required to support execution.

We’re looking for a multifaceted leader who wants to build, scale, and lead within a single organization for years to come.

What You’ll Lead

Marketing & Growth Strategy

Partner with the Founder to determine how Abbi Kirsten Collections grows, where the greatest opportunities exist, and what the company should prioritize next.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and lead the overarching marketing strategy across evergreen funnels, launches, content, audience growth, customer retention, and product ascension.
  • Evaluate business and marketing performance to identify opportunities for revenue growth and optimization.
  • Optimize evergreen funnels and customer journeys.
  • Strengthen launch strategy and identify opportunities to improve launch performance.
  • Develop strategies to improve conversion, customer lifetime value, and movement between offers.
  • Identify opportunities within the existing audience, product ecosystem, and customer base.
  • Evaluate and prioritize new marketing initiatives based on potential business impact.
  • Develop hypotheses, tests, and strategic experiments to uncover new growth opportunities.
  • Help shape future offers, products, campaigns, and business opportunities.
  • Protect focus by balancing new opportunities with optimization of proven revenue drivers.

Marketing Leadership & Execution

Translate strategy into clear priorities and ensure the team has what it needs to execute at a high level.

Responsibilities include:

  • Translate company growth goals into clear marketing priorities, campaigns, and initiatives.
  • Lead the strategy and planning behind launches and evergreen marketing.
  • Establish clear goals, KPIs, timelines, and expectations for major marketing initiatives.
  • Oversee cross-functional execution across advertising, creative, content, technical, and operational support.
  • Use marketing data, customer behavior, and business performance to continually improve strategy.
  • Ensure marketing initiatives are executed on time and to a high standard.
  • Improve repeatable launch and marketing systems.
  • Identify bottlenecks or gaps that are limiting marketing performance.
  • Create clarity around what the team is doing, why it matters, and how success will be measured.

Team & Growth Infrastructure

Build the team and infrastructure required to execute the company’s strategy without increasing unnecessary complexity.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assess the company’s operational and execution needs and determine where additional support is required.
  • Hire, onboard, and develop team members who can take increasing ownership of project coordination, implementation, and day-to-day operations.
  • Build an operational support structure beneath this role that allows you to remain focused on strategy, growth, and leadership.
  • Create systems, processes, documentation, and accountability structures that support strong marketing execution.
  • Improve workflows across projects, priorities, and team communication.
  • Establish clear ownership and decision-making across the team.
  • Build repeatable processes that allow responsibilities to be delegated effectively.
  • Develop a culture of proactive communication, accountability, ownership, and excellence.
  • Coach team members toward stronger performance and greater autonomy.

Founder Partnership

Operate as a true strategic partner to the Founder, helping turn vision into focused business priorities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Evaluate ideas and opportunities through the lens of growth, impact, resources, and company priorities.
  • Bring ideas, insights, and fresh perspectives to strategic conversations.
  • Challenge ideas respectfully and provide thoughtful recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities, risks, and potential downstream implications before they become problems.
  • Think several steps ahead and proactively anticipate what the business will need next.
  • Help prioritize initiatives based on business impact.
  • Translate Founder vision into strategic priorities the team can execute.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor during marketing and business decision-making.
  • Create the capacity that allows the Founder to increasingly focus on vision, innovation, brand, and future growth.

What Success Looks Like

Twelve months from now, success looks like:

  • A clear, cohesive marketing strategy connecting the company’s offers, launches, evergreen funnels, content, audience, and customer journey.
  • Predictable, growing revenue supported by stronger evergreen marketing systems and improved launch performance.
  • A consistent process for identifying, prioritizing, testing, and scaling growth opportunities.
  • Marketing decisions increasingly driven by meaningful data, customer behavior, and business performance.
  • Stronger conversion, customer retention, and movement throughout the product ecosystem.
  • A team that understands company priorities and can execute marketing initiatives with clear ownership and accountability.
  • An operational support layer built beneath this role, allowing you to spend increasingly more time on strategy, growth, and leadership rather than day-to-day coordination.
  • Significantly increased capacity for the Founder to focus on vision, innovation, and future growth.
  • Measurable progress toward building a deeper, more engaged creative community while positioning the business for its next stage of growth.

Success in this role is ultimately measured by the revenue capacity you help create for the business, the leadership capacity you build within the team, and the strategic capacity you create for the Founder.

Required Qualifications

We’re looking for someone whose strongest experience sits at the intersection of marketing strategy, growth, and business leadership, with the operational ability to build the infrastructure needed to bring that strategy to life.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • 7+ years of experience across marketing, growth, and business strategy, including experience leading marketing strategy within a growing online business.
  • Experience reporting directly to and strategically partnering with a Founder or CEO.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and leading marketing strategies across evergreen funnels, launches, customer journeys, audience growth, conversion, and customer lifetime value.
  • A track record of using marketing data and business performance to identify opportunities, prioritize initiatives, and drive measurable growth.
  • Experience leading teams and managing contractors across multiple marketing functions.
  • Strong operational leadership capabilities, including the ability to build teams, systems, processes, and accountability structures that support marketing execution.
  • Experience hiring, developing, and delegating to team members.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking with the ability to distinguish high-impact opportunities from distractions.
  • Exceptional organizational and project leadership skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication.
  • A proactive mindset with excellent follow-through.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Comfort working with AI tools and emerging technologies to improve efficiency.
  • Experience working remotely with distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within online education, memberships, coaching, digital products, or creator businesses.
  • Experience scaling seven-figure businesses through strategic marketing and growth optimization.
  • Experience overseeing both evergreen and launch-based revenue models.
  • Experience building or restructuring marketing and operational teams.
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Asana, Google Workspace, WordPress, Thinkific, Slack, Zapier, Stripe, SamCart, and similar tools.

Who Thrives Here

This role is likely a great fit if you:

  • Naturally look at a business and begin seeing opportunities.
  • Think three steps ahead.
  • Are energized by the question, “How could we grow this?”
  • Can move comfortably between company-level strategy and the details required to make that strategy work.
  • Use data to inform decisions without losing sight of the customer.
  • Create clarity from complexity.
  • Bring recommendations, not just problems.
  • Enjoy testing, learning, and optimizing.
  • Know how to determine what deserves attention and what doesn’t.
  • Think like an owner rather than an employee.
  • Can build and lead a team rather than becoming the permanent bottleneck for execution.
  • Are willing to roll up your sleeves while building the foundation, but ultimately want to lead at a strategic level.
  • Value autonomy while welcoming accountability.
  • Want to help build a company over the next five to ten years, not simply fill a role.

Benefits & Perks

  • Fully remote work environment.
  • Paid time off and company holidays.
  • Flexible work environment and schedule built on trust and ownership.
  • Quarterly performance bonuses.
  • Direct partnership with the Founder.
