Summer is a special time full of adventure and smiles. School is out, the sun is hot, and everyone is excited for the enjoyable get-togethers and parties that come with the summer season. In keeping with the relaxed vibe of blue skies and blooming gardens, I am sharing some of my favorite summer paper flower crafts to help bring some sunshine and color to your next gathering. Not only will it bring sunshine into your home, but making paper flowers is a great way to pass summer afternoons.

I am often asked what kind of paper I use (cardstock and crepe paper), which cutting machine I recommend (Cricut), and what supplies are needed to create simple, beautiful paper flowers.

This flower is great for a beginner and, oh my goodness, isn’t it lovely! It’s so whimsical and gives me all the summer-loving feelings. The Paper Hanging Wisteria tutorial will provide you with a complete list of supplies and templates and a video to make crafting easier!

2. Hydrangeas Paper Flower Craft

The beauty of hydrangeas is the versatility of the colors to choose from and the timeless feel and fullness they bring to any flower arrangement. In my example, I used yellow paper. These smaller flowers have everything you need to have a stunning addition to your summer tablescapes and floral arrangements that look almost like real flowers. 3. Giant Red, White and Blue Dahlia Paper Flower Craft – Kid Friendly!

This American-themed wreath flower is perfect for celebrating Independence Day and includes an easy step-by-step tutorial anyone can follow.

4. Peony Summer Paper Flower Craft

5. Large Hibiscus Paper Flowers

If you’re planning a luau, then you need to add this paper hibiscus to your summer DIY list! 6. DIY Chrysanthemum Paper Flowers Craft

Chrysanthemums are such versatile flowers. They make a great staple piece and work well in an arrangement. This particular chrysanthemum tutorial is even more special because it is an easy craft and can be done with kids, allowing the whole house to have a good time! 7. Paper Succulent Flower Tutorial

Next up on our list of summer paper flower crafts is not a flower at all! Real and fake succulents are trending online, and summer wouldn’t be complete without this classic desert beauty. 8. Plumeria Crepe Paper Flowers
