How To Make Paper Zinnias From Cardstock
Making paper flowers is a fun pastime for any season of the year. Zinnias bloom from Spring until the first frost of Winter or Fall. Their deep rich colors bring to mind the warmth of autumn. In this tutorial, you will learn how to make handmade paper zinnias.
These zinnias were part of a Fall flower series including my paper chrysanthemums and marigold flowers.
With their fluffy centers and playful petals, these paper zinnia blooms are lovely for DIY wreaths, bouquets, or arrangements, and they also play well with paper sunflowers!

Supply List For DIY Paper Zinnias
- Medium Cardstock (65-pound weight)
- Glue gun
- Cricut machine or pair of scissors to cut the templates
- 18 gauge wire for the stem (optional)
- Floral tape
- Wood dowel for curling the petals

These zinnia paper flower templates come in both SVG cut files for cutting machine owners (I use a Cricut machine) as well as PDF printables if you wish to cut by hand.
Keep in mind the detailed nature of the center petals works best for cutting machine owners, but if you have plenty of patience – go for cutting by hand!
