It’s the Holiday Season! So whoop-de-do and hickory dock and don’t forget to hang up … some lovely Christmas decor!
Okay, so that’s not exactly the words but I’ve been buzzing around like Santa’s best elf shopping, making memories, and creating some festive decor for our Christmas experience. If you’re like me then you have embraced the merriest time of the year and love everything about it- especially the Holiday Decor.
Today, I’ve put together the loveliest four step DIY Small Paper Poinsettia Flower Tutorial for you and it’s going to give you another reason to throw on your Santa hat and get-to-crafting!
This is actually a throwback to one of my first Christmas templates I made. It just occurred to me this year that I did not post a picture tutorial on it. So here is it. You can find this template in the shop or use my free version designed with a hole to place on Christmas lighted garland via the craft resource library. Sign up at the via the button below to access!
Let’s fa-la-la right in, shall we?
DIY Small Paper Poinsettia Flower Tutorial

- 65-pound cardstock
- Scissors and/or cutting machine (Circuit Explore Air 2 Machine)

Cut the following number of petals
- Large Cuts – 3
- Small Cuts – 2
For the poinsettia petals draw using your molding mat as if you were drawing veins on a leaf.
Then flip the whole thing over. You will be able to see the veins you drew better. Roll the center a little to make the petals stand up.
Prep all of your petals the same way.
Begin layering the petals and alternating petals as you go.
Continue with the small petals.
Add in 3 small pearls to the center
Make a bunch and deck the halls!
Aren’t these the sweetest? I can’t wait to see how these turn out for you! Be sure to share your photos with me. I always love seeing what you come up with!
This craft is just one of many Christmas projects on my blog. This year I am super excited to announce that I have created a FREE 12 Days of Christmas Crafts series that you can sign up for here. And yes, all the templates required are FREE!
