Crisp Blue Paper Hydrangeas

These new DIY paper hydrangea flowers are the essence of beauty. Hydrangeas are definitely a favorite, especially since cool crisp blues are one of my most beloved colors.

I love how full and lush hydrangeas always look – as if they are the flower that always has it all together! In all honesty, I was dreading this craft for a long time. Even though the method of creation is very straight forward, I knew it would take some patience to assemble.

This past month I have been in a garden blooms state of mind. From new full bloom peonies to camellia roses, my studio has a blossoming view at the moment.

I’m continuing to share my love for my newly found metallic cardstock paper. I first used it with my Anabelle classic rose, then my magnolia leaf branches.

If metallic cardstock is not your style you could absolutely use traditional cardstock. I recommend 50-65 pound weight for almost all my flowers – although I have gone up to 80 pound weight before.

  1. Good morning,
I found your hydrangeas on pinterest. Love them! I also saw anemones…. beautiful. Now my problem…I have a cameo silhouette. Would a template from you work on a cameo too???
    Thanx for answering. Kim.

    1. Hi Kim! If you have the designer software SVG cut files will work, which are included. If you have the studio only software then you will want DXF files.
If you purchased any items I am happy to provide the DXF format upon request. Please contact [email protected] with your order info. 🙂
