Since my daughter, Ella, has decided to choose a mermaid party theme for her 3rd birthday you will be getting lots of “under the sea” inspiration this week starting with this DIY mermaid party gift bag!
I’ve teamed up with Press Print Party to create this enchanting theme. Next week, I will be posting the full party details along with all the amazing talents shops that helped contribute to the final look!
For today, I am showing you a quick DIY mermaid gift bag project. It’s so simple to make and you will be receiving a couple of freebies as well!
Supplies:
- White gift bag (or color of choice. I use these)
- Mermaid printables (find the freebies that Press Print Party offers here!)
- Seaweed printable/cut file (download here)
- Glue gun
- Any desired additional embellishments (I like using rhinestones, or as my daughter calls them, “sparklies”)
These seaweed cut files are amazing to add life-like under the sea touches to your giant paper flower backdrops as well! Watch this five minute video to see how I arranged the gift bag together here.
Oh, and side note, I didn’t have any tissue paper on hand so I used tulle to stuff inside the top of the bag. Turns out this is a really cool alternative!
